I'm looking forward to reading it as well. I don't know about anyone else, but I've felt, for the last 10+ years, like I was living in some vivid and surreal version of Alice In Wonderland... where nothing made sense and it was all very confusing. I felt many times like I was going crazy.

Our culture actually has gone crazy! It's not your imagination!

It's the certitude of their moral vanity that makes the left so contemptible.

This summary hits on all cylinders of the engine of explanation for what we have experienced with the Democrat party over the last few decades.

I noted the big change during the second term of W. I thought it was just voter anger over war and a recession, and a hangover from 9-11. But when that little bitch Natalie Mains blew up the Dixie Chick' career and brand by saying the band was ashamed that George W. Bush was from Texas, I knew something had shifted. I noted it in my local big city newspaper. I noted it on local TV news. Some power had captured the minds of college graduates that proliferated into our institutions and it was their coming out party.

We need a remedy and we need it now. Civilization won't survive unless we destroy the seeds of power pushing this leftist fantasy of dystopia.

These past few years have been quite an extraordinary journey for you. I look forward to getting my copy on January 5th. (Just in time to prevent another J6!)

It has been my privilege to read your thoughtful essays while knowing that you came from a background that was the opposite of how you see most issues today. Whenever I read your articles, I thank Elon Musk for buying Twitter and opening up the "back rooms" for you and others to examine. Exposure is a powerful thing.

I remember the disdain that I felt when as a Christian conservative from the boonies of Idaho I attended graduate studies at the University of Washington. Not only were the classrooms filled with cigarette smoke (smoking had not yet been banned in the 60s), but the air was thick with their arrogance and pomposity. Even though I was somewhat intimidated, it was a good experience for me and opened my eyes to a world that seemed to have no basis in reality or good sense.

I don't have much hope that things will turn around before it is too late and the fundamental freedoms of America are eroded beyond recognition. But thank you for not giving up. It matters.

I can tell you why the left acts as it does.

They want to bring in their utopia of socialism. (Done right this time!l

They seek to destabilize, confuse, intimidate and sever familial ties. Then people will look for guidance, community and they believe they can convince enough people that they can provide that comfort. Look at how they raise gas prices through their attack on oil, high taxes, their stated goal of outlawing gas engine vehicles. Fighting ICE in the streets to create chaos instead of honoring detainer requests while someone is in custody. And all the things Michael & Alex discuss.

It is by design, enough chaos they hope will require Trump to call out troops or better, declare marshal law. Then they can say see!

And that gives them the opening to run their plan as reported by DataRepublican.

Michael, you are one of a small group of people that I would trust to write a significantly objective book on this topic. Many thanks to you and Alex, too!

Purchased!

This book by these particular authors is required reading. Besides knowledge and understanding, these authors are clearly and rightfully trying to deal a necessary death blow to the modern(or should I say postmodern) Left. Voters on the right will agree with it and expand their understanding of the corrosive and societal damaging effects of the Left. But, the group who need to read this even more are independents and the disaffected on the left who always vote for the candidate with a D next to their name but have become less sure about why they’re doing it. Deep down in their souls they know something is terribly wrong with the democrat party and the DSA/DSA adjacent (same thing) crazy politicians. The republicans are far from perfect, they’ve been a disappointment for me with Trump 2.0 but they are clearly the lesser of two evils. Until the Democrats disavow what will be clearly pointed out in this book, for the absolute good of this Republic they can never be allowed to maintain power. PREORDERED!!

"...when a society’s governing class and intelligentsia come to believe their fantasies are more real than reality, and work to punish those loyal to the truth...."

I don't think the intelligentsia believe their fantasies are more real than reality - they just don't care about reality at all; reality has no more weight to them than a football or soccer score. It's just a power struggle, and they prefer fantasy over reality *because* it isn't real. Fantasy can be anything you want it to be, and if the 'realists' can be silenced by whatever means are available, then fantasy wins.
